Hillel @ Virginia Tech shared an event. Grab your favorite family recipe while you are home this week for Spring Break!
Cook it Like Yo' Mama!!
When: February 28, 2014, 10:00 pm
Do you have recipes that have been passed down through your family? Do you love to cook? How would you like to take part in putting together a cookbook of traditional family recipes from the Jewish students at Virginia Tech?
The ladies of Hillel at Virginia Tech's Rosh Chodesh group are collecting recipes from Jewish students to be used in a cookbook. After the cookbook's completion, those who contribute will be invited to celebrate the taste of success with dishes from the book!
We also hope to eventually sell the cookbooks as a Hillel Fundraiser.
Emma Cohen is collecting recipes. FB inbox her or e-mail her at firstname.lastname@example.org with your family's recipe and a statement of why it is important to you.
Please post any questions or suggestions you have on the wall below!
Do you remember the Purim story? Do you remember the contribution of Esther to the Jewish nation and Jewish womanhood?
The ladies of Rosh Chodesh are getting together to celebrate Esther's heroic role in the Purim story. We will be beading headpieces, giving each other dazzling make overs, and noshing on hamantaschen to wash down with punch!
Come relax and fill your belly and soul with the ladies of Rosh Chodesh!
AND, from those who brought you #ShabBUS....We will all be boarding the bus and heading to Hillel at Radford's Purim Party after our event! Keep your eyes peeled for an invitation on how to reserve YOUR spot on the bus!
